There is an unambiguous call to action to protect the space domain against threats from non-friendly actors, and today, space superiority is a top priority for the U.S. and international space defense agencies. The significance of safeguarding our assets in space cannot be overstated: global economic stability requires the free and prosperous use of space.

Since day one, True Anomaly has focused on space defense, and we are honored to work alongside the U.S. Space Force and its partners to craft a vision and strategy for allied space superiority, and transform that vision into game-changing, full-stack mission solutions.

Today, April 30, we are announcing the close of our Series C financing: a $260M oversubscribed round, inclusive of equity and debt, that will accelerate our next phase of growth, vertical integration, facility expansion, product development and implementation.

The Series C was led by Accel, with participation from Meritech Capital and existing investors Eclipse, Riot Ventures, Menlo Ventures, 645 Ventures, ACME Capital, Space VC, Champion Hill Ventures, and Narya. Debt capital is being provided by Stifel Bank.

To our investors, partners, customers and employees – those who have been with us since the beginning, and those who are just joining our journey – we want to say thank you for your conviction and support in this mission.

We’ve been busy...
True Anomaly was founded to develop and deploy defense products that meet the needs of a modern, contested space environment.

While in uniform, our founding team developed a deep appreciation for the current U.S. space systems and identified critical technology gaps in the U.S. space arsenal. Taking the opportunity to be part of the solution, True Anomaly was born.

Our approach has been to assemble a team of U.S. Veterans and former civil servants, operators, industry experts and world-class engineers, unleash them on the problems of space superiority, and deliver cost-efficient, flexible, rapidly deployable, and software-defined spacecraft and combat systems.

Our mission is to design and build autonomous systems to deter conflict and protect space for humanity, and we are fielding space defense products at the forefront of modern military tactics – terrestrial or otherwise.

In our three years since founding, we have:

• Built and launched Jackal, our multi-role spacecraft, for operations in low earth orbit (LEO), and announced plans to fly in geosynchronous orbit (GEO), and cislunar space, utilizing a common platform across all orbits.
• Designed and fielded Mosaic, our full-stack software system, for customer operations and on-orbit flight tests with Jackal.
• Flown two “Mission X” orbital flight tests, allowing us to pressure test and improve how we design, build, and operate our space superiority systems.
• Secured contracts across hardware, software, and services, including the VICTUS HAZE Tactically Responsive Space (TacRS) mission and the Rapid Resilient Command and Control (R2C2) program, among others.
• Raised $400M of capital from leading investors and capital partners.
• Opened four offices with 90,000 ft² of manufacturing space, including:
  • Denver HQ: HW and SW engineering, manufacturing, operations
  • Colorado Springs, CO: Mission control
  • Long Beach, CA: HW and SW product development and manufacturing
  • Washington DC: Product development, business development and government affairs.
• Built a world-class team and grown from four to more than 170, with plans to expand to more than 250 employees by the end of 2025.

...but we’re just getting started

Our Series C financing will support True Anomaly’s continued growth and investment in product and engineering, talent, vertical integration, and facility expansion.

Beyond product and corporate expansion, over the next 18 months, we will execute:

• ‍Mission X Flight Test 3: Launch of our third orbital flight test to LEO as part of our company-funded Mission X flight test program. Mission X embodies our product development process of “fly, fix, fly,”utilizing data from flight tests to rapidly iterate and validate design, engineering and production techniques, resulting in products that are field-tested and mission-ready in a matter of years, rather than decades. ‍
• VICTUS HAZE Tactically Responsive Space (TacRS) Mission: True Anomaly and Firefly Aerospace will fly an end-to-end operational TacRS demonstration mission to showcase the U.S.’s capability to rapidly respond to on-orbit needs during a conflict or in response to a national security threat.‍
• First Jackal mission to GEO and cislunar space: Jackal and Mosaic will be deployed on their first independent missions to GEO and cislunar space in 2026. ‍
• Mosaic software enhancements: We will provide rapid and iterative upgrades to our Mosaic software suite with new capabilities focused on enhanced readiness, command, control, and autonomy for space operations. ‍
• New product offering: We are actively developing a new solution for our customers that will serve as the first true extension from the Jackal family and offer unparalleled responsiveness to on-orbit threats from LEO to GEO and beyond.

We aspire to deliver unmatched capabilities to protect the Joint Force and prevent our adversaries from exploiting the space domain for hostile purposes. In the process, we believe we will become the dominant defense company for deterrence and security in space, globally.

What took generations to learn in the air and at sea must now be achieved in a matter of years—without the benefit of a long peace or the harsh instruction of total war. Legacy approaches cannot meet this moment. It demands new technology, new talent, and a new mindset.

Delivering full-stack solutions at a disruptive price point on unprecedented timelines is a monumental task, but we have built the machine that allows for fast, high-quality engineering and business capture, enabling us to bring products to market faster than anyone else.
